NM-1020BL “Sedge Hammer” Caddis/Grub Fly Hook

The NymphMaster “Sedge Hammer” is based on a hook pattern that the designer used during his youth in the UK. Recent years have seen the demise of offset points on fly hooks, particularly on barbless models. The logic is simple, a fish will have a harder time “spitting” a fly hook with an offset point that it will a straight point, think about it, it really does make sense. This model is no exception, build on high carbon 1 X steel wire, in addition to the fact that it has an offset point, its long needle point will ensure incredible penetration and holding power. A great hook model for caddis and grub style patterns, not forgetting egg pattern, its one for the tying bench for sure!
